Doyle had kept hoping that something would make people forget or at least not want his blood. At the same time, he knew they’d never forget. Now, his only hope was solving this case. Maybe that would at least get them off his back.

Of course, now they’d thrown Kord into the mix, which made Doyle’s world even more complicated. Despite his better judgment, he couldn’t help but find the green-eyed hunk not just attractive but also interesting and appealing. In a way, Kord was exactly what Doyle had been looking for. Except for the part about being straight. That was one hurdle no one could jump.

So, the powers that be gave him an impossible case and a totally appealing but unavailable man. If that wasn’t punishment enough, Doyle wasn’t sure what was.
