Then he made up his mind. “We have to talk,” he said.

“We can talk at home.” Aiden hunched into himself, arms crossed in front of his chest, and stared out of the window as if Jack wasn’t even with him.

“We can talk now,” Jack replied.

Aiden sighed. “Fuck.”

Jack turned towards Aiden, but his lover avoided his eyes. “Look at me.” After a long moment, Aiden complied. “Listen, I’ll tell her, okay? I’ll tell everyone. I don’t care who knows it. I love you, only you. Listen!”

He frowned as Aiden turned away from him. Lowering his voice, he leaned across the seat and placed his forehead on Aiden’s shoulder. “Just please, listen. I love you. Tell me what you want me to do to prove it and I’ll do it. Tell me what to say and I’ll say it. Anything, Aiden, just don’t push me away.”
