Chapter 104

“Do you live here?” Sean asked as they drove into the city.

“No. My home is approximately five hours east of here. I decided to get you situated myself so I can fill you in on the reason why you’re here specifically, other than to keep you safe from Mr. Cox.”

“Great. We don’t even get down-time,” Ken grumbled.

“You do, Ken, if you want to take it,” Alastair replied. “However we need Sean’s particular skills for a job.”

“No rest for the wicked,” Ken said, glancing at Sean.

“No kidding.”

Alastair drove into a parking garage, pulling up beside a car on the fifth level. “This is where I leave you for the time being,” he told them, handing Ken a set of keys and a slip of paper. “The address and security codes. The house is a rental, according to the sign in the front window. You’re the newest tenants.”

“That’s how you explain the fact that different people move in and out?” Sean asked.

Alastair replied, “It works. The neighborhood is fairly fluid in that respect.”
