By the time they were finished, neither man had any real doubts that they belonged together, both physically and emotionally.
“It won’t be easy,” Ken pointed out as they lay wrapped in each other’s arms a while later.
“I know,” Sean agreed. “Chances are we’ll be apart as much as we’re together.”
“No kidding. I doubt we’ll be teamed together too often. I’ll be sequestered down in Jonah’s operations room, or another one like it. You’ll be off, God knows where, getting the goods on some bastard or another.”
“Trying not to get caught in the process. If I am, you can come bail me out,” Sean replied with a grin.
Ken frowned deeply. “Hard to do if they—”
Sean put his hand over Ken’s mouth. “I was teasing. I won’t be getting caught. I’m better than that.”
Ken pulled Sean’s hand away, muttering, “I know, but still, don’t tempt fate.”
“Never,” Sean replied. “I have a very good reason not to, now. I have you to come home to. Well…” He winked. “You and Pax.”
