He had expected to move to testing the order process before lunch, but by two in the afternoon, he hadn’t stopped long enough to eat anything because he knew he was close to finishing, he just knew it. One more file…one more…

By six-thirty, the last of the inventory was up. Rick’s idea of lunch had been some of Micah’s sugary cereal, dry and straight out of the box, which sat empty and discarded to one side of his computer. Bottles of water littered the table and floor. He hadn’t had a chance to do any order processing yet, but he wanted to get the site moved up to the main directory before he headed over to the comic shop. Marty hadn’t texted yet to ask if Rick wanted to come over for dinner, but Rick expected to hear from him in the next hour or so. It’d become a bit of a routine of theirs, hadn’t it?
