“Here you go,” she said, handing him a file with the papers he needed. “As I told you when you called, you’ll have to get the actual title from the county clerk’s office.”
“Thanks. I will. And thank you so much for these and for letting me see exactly how you’re set up.”
“You’re welcome. If you need anything more, feel free to call. And, again, I’m so sorry about what happened to Mr. Mills.” She patted his arm.

Since Spence didn’t have Gregg’s number, something he intended to rectify the next time they talked, he had to wait for Gregg to call him before he could tell him he might have gotten the name of the man who had been so interested in buying the house.
