“You okay?” Ronan’s gentle question brought Felix back to reality.
Shaking off the ghosts of the past, Felix handed Ronan the razor to finish shaving and helped him out of the tub once the task was done—averting his eyes and leaving the room once Ronan was settled onto the toilet’s seat where he could secure his own leg brace.
He slunk off to the living room and buried himself as deeply in the couch cushions as possible and covered his head with the pillow he’d been given. Felix flung the pillow to the floor once he realized it had to have been Ronan’s when his unmistakable scent invaded Felix’s thoughts.Chapter 4
True to Ronan’s prediction, Lorcan rose with the sun. Felix was more than happy to get up and stack his blanket and pillow off to the side of the couch. Sleep had been elusive, his mind racing with self-doubt. It would be good to have a nice long day of physical exertion to which he could devote his whole attention.
