Chapter 13

In the meantime, he needed to eat something. He looked into the freezer and found a frozen pizza. It would have to do. He didn’t have any energy left to cook something healthier. The pizza could just go into the oven for a few moments while he took a quick shower.

Twenty minutes later, he was seated on the couch, a few slices of pizza on his plate, and surfing the various channels, when his phone beeped a couple of times. He put down his plate onto the table and grabbed the smart phone. It was a text message from Aaron.

Aaron Tyler: Hey, babe. The party has just begun. My team and I will be here until late at night though.

Me: Hey, Aaron. It’s a long day for me, as well. Will tell you all about it tomorrow.

Aaron Tyler: Cool. I’ll pick you up at eight tomorrow morning, okay?

Me: Sure. Have a good night, Aaron.

Aaron Tyler: You, too, babe.
