Chapter 14

George opened his eyes and peered at the little stuffed turkey currently taking up space directly in front of him. It was one of those things that had a sound box inside its body, and when squeezed, it gobbled.

“Put that thing away before you get us kicked off the plane,” George said with an indulgent smile.

“Hardly,” his boyfriend said. “But that’s why I woke you up. We’re about to land.”

George straightened in his seat and raised it to its full upright position. He rubbed his eyes. “Can’t believe I fell asleep.”

“I can. We’ve both been working a lot lately. And we were at the premiere pretty late last night.”

George couldn’t help but grin at the memory. “My first premiere.”

“Mine, too.”

“Yours, too. It’s not like I’m the star or anything, but it was pretty cool.” He glanced at Casey for affirmation. Which he totally hated needing from his boyfriend, but he did. “Don’t you think?”

“It waspretty cool,” Casey agreed.
