Chapter 6

His mind was brought back to the present when he heard Oliver’s distinct laugh echo through the house. “Damn.” He hurriedly rinsed the soap from his body and retreated towel-clad to the bedroom to dress. When he made it back to the living room, he found Oliver and Cole sitting on the couch, chatting over cups of coffee. Oliver’s body language really pissed Wyatt off. He was turned toward Cole, leaning forward, engaged, and smiling broadly.

“I’m surprised you’re up,” he said to Oliver. “Is it noon yet?”

The comment had the desired effect. Oliver sat up a little straighter and sat down his cup. “I heard you talking. Just keeping, Cole, was it? Just keeping Cole entertained while you take one of your epic showers. Everything come out all right?”
