He was proud of himself for that. He’d made this moment happen.
Milo snapped a few pictures and then showed them to Rain and Sheila. After they’d exchanged a few words, Sheila looked at Milo and raised a brow. “Should I take Philip to Tristan now?”
“Uh, yeah. That would be nice of you.” Milo cleared his throat and shuffled his feet. “Rain, I just need to talk to you alone, if you don’t mind.”
Rain frowned. He wasn’t really in the mood for a deep conversation. He only wanted to join Tristan and the kids and go home to rest. “Okay, sure,” he said anyway, noticing the serious expression on Milo’s face. “Philip, can you tell Tristan that I’ll be out in a few more minutes?”
Sheila hugged him again and then looked down at Philip. “Would you mind showing me out of the school? I don’t know my way too well.”
Philip stared at her and then shrugged and agreed. In the door, he gave Rain a long look. “Bye.”
Milo turned to look at Philip. “Oh, hey, bye, buddy. I’ll see you—”
