“I don’t have to come with you,” Jon remarked. “Sage’s email said Mike wants to meet with you, not us.”

Brody lifted an eyebrow. “What will you do while I’m gone? Read a book when you can’t hold one? Play on the computer, when you can’t move the mouse?”

Jon sighed. “How long before I can do anything on my own?”

“It’ll happen. Think of it as being a newborn baby, because in some ways that’s exactly what you are—newly born to this life. First you learn to walk and talk…krdquo;

“I had that down pat the second I left my body behind,” Jon pointed out sourly. “Talking with you, and Sage, that is.”
