Mike did spend time, when he wasn&rsquo;t dealing with phone calls and paperwork, trying to find information on Manny Stryker. He&rsquo;d been arrested several times before he was eighteen for selling drugs to minors. The only thing that saved his hide from spending more than a couple of days in jail was the fact his father was a businessman with deep pockets. He hired the best lawyers to make certain Stryker got a slap on the wrist and a hefty fine, rather than going to prison.


As soon as he turned eighteen, Stryker&rsquo;s father stopped protecting him. He got busted again, spent a year in jail and then, with the backing of a man he met in prison, became a low echelon member North&rsquo;s gang—mostly running errands, according to the file the department had on him.
