“Nope. I heard something behind me,” I replied. “Then hands on my shoulders and over I went. The only clue at all is what they said—2rsquo;Step two rsquo;.urdquo;

“Male or female?”

“They said it very softly, as if they were talking to themselves. I figure it had to be a man, but I guess there’s no reason a woman couldn’t have done it. The railing’s only waist-high. Well, you can see for yourself. The bar above it is for a second row of lights, when we need them.”

“You don’t get dizzy, being up that high?” Jon asked.

I laughed. “You work the lighting crew, you better not be afraid of heights.”

“I’d say your killer wasn’t either,” Brody said.

“Or he was so dedicated to pushing me off, he wasn’t thinking about it.”
