Chapter 64

“I’ll pass, thanks, even in this form.”

From there, we went home. At least what they considered home. I still felt hesitant to call it myhome. I felt more as if I was a guest, despite their attempts to make me believe otherwise. Besides, I didn’t plan on staying there forever. I wanted out of this world. The world which held the man I love and could no longer have.

“How are we going to do this?” I asked Tuesday morning, when I joined Brody and Jon in their room.

“Three of us, six people, although so far we don’t know who one of them is,” Brody replied. “That might be our first project, to see if we can discover who the man in the dressing room was.”

“He’s not going to come out and admit it,” Jon said.

“No, but we should keep an eye on the potentials, meaning Hal in the scene shop, Walt, and Vern. See if any of them seem to be particularly interested in one of the other men.”
