“Gotta get up for a minute, Virgil,” he soothed. “I’ll be right back.”

Virgil grumbled into Travis’ back like a petulant brat, and then drew his hands away with a slow caress. Alphas.Travis grinned as he stood. Virgil groaned behind him, and Travis turned around to find his partner had rolled onto his back with a grimace. He planted a hard kiss on his mate’s pliant lips and hustled off naked to do his business as quick as he could.

Not one of Virgil’s fingers had even twitched out of that sprawled pout in the couple of minutes Travis was out of the room. He smiled when his mate opened pearlescent eyes that tracked him as Travis came back to bed. For a moment, he stood and gazed down at Virgil, a sudden need to memorize the way his alpha looked in that second seized him.
