“I opt for one of the storage rooms,” Kegan said. “They’re at the far end from the entrance with only one door each. I like the heavy metal shelves, and there’s enough stuff stored on them it should muffle any sounds, if someone happens to be on the terrace.”
“At eleven at night, with the park closed at nine-thirty, according to the signs we passed?” Ash said.
“Kids, or even adults, exploring,” Kegan replied. “It’s only closed to vehicular traffic.”
“Yeah. Good point. Something to watch out for when you meet him.”
“I will.”
“We all will,” Gage said. “Let’s go back to my apartment, for now.”
“No,” Kegan replied. “There’s no reason for me to be there, since as far as Morse knows I’m not even in town, yet. If he has someone watching…”
“And he might, after your call,” Gage agreed.
“We have a few hours to kill,” Ash said. “Any suggestions?”
Gage smirked. “We could hit up the zoo.”
Ash snorted. “Not my thing. I’m not big on looking through bars, even if I am on the outside.”
