Chapter 43

Still appearing to talk on his phone, Kegan took more photos. He, too, went into the parking lot, walking to a car at the far side. It wasn’t his, but it gave him a reason to be there while taking pictures. Snapping his fingers, as if he’d forgotten something, he walked quickly back the way he’d come until he was out of sight of the building.

“What do we know so far?” Kegan asked when he, Gage, and Ash were back at the house, soon after dark.

“That getting inside won’t be a walk in the park,” Gage said.

“Something we already figured out,” Kegan replied with a tight smile as he downloaded the photos he’d taken to Ash’s laptop.

When Kegan was finished, Ash took over, downloading the videos. He ran them, with Kegan and Gage watching from either side as the three men sat on the sofa.
