“Not necessary. I’m here to see if any of you have a few moments to tell me about finding Sarah Mulligan yesterday. Your fiancé—”
“Boyfriend,” said Kiko through gritted teeth, still shooting Clark a helpful smile. He really hated Mount Angus this time of year.
Clark grinned.
“Boyfriend, then. He’s not having a good day. You might want to take him to a therapist.”
“I’m sorry, Clark, but we’re rather busy at the moment. You’ll have to talk to Gordon,” said Kiko as Chad wandered up with a stack of full boxes.
“Done, boss. Oh hey, you totes didn’t say we got to do interviews.”
“You’re on the clock, Chad,” said Kiko as Clark’s eyes glinted. Chad plopped himself down in the chair across from Clark anyway.
“Looks like he can spare five minutes,” said Clark. “Your…boyfriend…is only decorating. I understand you want it perfect, but I’m sure it’ll be fine if he has to leave it for a moment to help a customer.”
