At library, he texted instead. No way was he admitting he didn’t know how a library worked.

Great. I can’t wait to hear all about it.

Dom shoved his phone in his pocket and got out, grumbling to himself. Kiko was probably over at Yolks on You being amused as hell that Dom was going to a library of his own free will. He really wasn’t the person for this job, but he’d rather be doing something other than cleaning or cooking, so he got over it and entered the building.

The Mount Angus library was tiny. Dom counted six rows of bookshelves and two smaller ones for children’s books. There was a reading nook for children that was bigger than the space for adults, which amounted to two computers and one desk. There was a chair at the end of every aisle, but nothing comfortable looking. Dom went to the desk.

“Hi,” said the librarian, who was scanning books from the drop back in. She seemed to be the only person working. “What can I do for you?”
