“Sounds like you want some sort of permanent commitment. Who are you and what have you done with my Dom?”

Dom chuckled a little as he pulled his hands around again. Kiko was smiling at him now and his irritation with himself eased away. This wasn’t the worst question he could have asked.

“Maybe you make me rethink everything,” he said. Kiko glanced away and ran a hand through his hair.

“Maybe you’ve had too much to drink.”

Dom reached out and touched Kiko on the knee.

“Oh, come on, we didn’t even finish a bottle. Kiko. You can’t tell me you’reafraid of thinking about the future.”

“You’re high on endorphins,” said Kiko, standing. “And I’m not afraid of commitment. I’m afraid of losing you. But you know that.” He paused. “Meet you downstairs to finish the wine.”

Dom watched him go. He didn’t want to think about this now. He rubbed his wrists and went to the guest bathroom to wash up. 12
