Chapter 52

“Dom,” said Kiko, grabbing his arm. “What are you thinking?”

Dom grinned at him.

“You haven’t figured it out yet?” he asked.

Kiko released him.

“That you’re too unprofessional to hire?” asked Kiko, and Dom’s glee faded briefly. Kiko felt a little bad about it, but he pushed that aside as something to deal with later. Dom looked like he was in too good of a mood to argue.

“Don’t tell me you weren’t curious. No way in hell Chad wasn’t bottom. This proves it.”

“He’s nineteen,” said Kiko, and Dom rolled his eyes. “And did you break more eggs while I was over there?”

“Two or three.”

Kiko gaped at him. Dom grinned hugely and dug around in his pocket.

“Look,” he said, and when Kiko glanced down his hand opened, the contents of his palm glinting. A necklace, two pairs of earrings, and a bracelet lay gleaming there, silver and gold set with stones. Kiko blinked.
