Hunter looked up and realized someone must have said something to him because his dad and Ethan were looking as if they were waiting for a response or an answer to a question.


“Sorry, I was just thinking.” He shook his head to get it back on the matter at hand. He needed to focus.


“We just got a call from the chopper. They’ve spotted a U-Haul truck flying down Route 24, and it looks like the driver fits the description of Rowdy. No passenger, but Van could be in the back. Do you want them to stage a roadblock up ahead or follow?”


“Fuck, if they spotted Rowdy, he definitely spotted them. Let’s get up in the air, go the roundabout way, come across, then backtrack and catch him. Shit, he’s probably heading to Old Ferry Road. There’s an abandoned airstrip right over the border in South Caro. We’ve got about twenty-five minutes before they take off, if that’s where he’s headed with Van.”
