“So glad that you could join us.”
“Do I have a choice?” he retorted cheekily at his mother.
“Nope. Now, Linda and I had already started planning most of the urgent details concerning your wedding in July. In fact, the two of us had woken up at six o’clock this morning and met up at the nearby cafe by half-past six to hash out as many details as possible.”
“What?”
To say that he was astounded would be a gross understatement. He was not sure if he’d heard his mother right.
“Nathan, I am your mother and I know that your hearing is fine. Don’t pretend otherwise.”
“Mom…”
“Nathan, Nancy and I need Jason and you to fill in the details. For example, we need to know how many people the two of you are planning to invite, the theme of the wedding, the cake, the flowers, and so many other things.”
He could only stare at both women in disbelief. In fact, his lovely fiancé was obviously in the same frame of mind.
