Chapter 16

Cinder was the alpha in their little pack.

Io had been little more than an omega three months before when he first found himself doing the horizontal mambo with Cinder. And he was still likely somewhere near the bottom since the Beta Bitch, as he liked to think of Ran’imy mentally, made sure she retained her position. At least she had given up throwing herself at Cinder. Though if anyone thought to ask him he would express concern, maybe even a little fear at what she was cooking up in that nasty tangled head of hers. How was he supposed to believe she had gone from wanting Cinder as badly as he did to being over him in the blink of an eye?

She had to be up to something. He just knew it.

Cinder snapped his fingers. “Io.”

“Hm?” He started to find Cinder back in front of him.
