With nothing pressing on his agenda, Tony checked his email, replied or deleted—depending on what it was—then shut off his computer. He decided he’d treat himself to a late lunch out—a reward for finishing the book.

As he walked down to the lobby, he realized it had been three days since the second murder. He prayed it had been the last one. We do not need to be known as the ‘elevator murder’ building. Three people have moved out already, because of them. Lots of luck on someone renting their apartments until the cops find the killer.
