“Comparing notes on what kind of movies we like,” Kirk replied.
“I bet Tony likes ones that make you think,” Dan said.
Tony smirked. “Yep. Like Deadpool.”
“Oh my God, I loved that one. And…”
They all joined in, talking about movies they loved, and hated, and why. The evening drew to a close for them when Pat pointed out they all had to work in the morning, “Except for Tony. He makes his own hours.”
“Wish I had that option,” Kirk said. “But I don’t, so yeah, let’s call it a night.”
Those who had drinks left finished them, then they all left the club. As they did, Kirk put his hand on Tony’s arm to stop him, asking, “When?”
“If you mean a movie—Saturday?”
“That works. Eight?”
“Depends on what we’re seeing, and when it starts.” Tony took out his phone to look, they discussed their options, and settled at one that started at seven-fifteen.
“I’ll see you then,” Kirk said. “Or tomorrow night if you’re coming by the club again.”
