Chapter 35

“It still looks the same,” Tony said, heading to the sofa. He didn’t want to admit it, but he was already tired, despite having spent the previous night and most of the day in bed.

“You thought I’d rearrange everything while I was picking up your clothes?” Kirk smiled with amusement then asked, “Do you want coffee or something to eat?”

“Coffee, and I can make it,” Tony replied, starting to get up.

Kirk pointed a finger at him. “You stay there. I’m quite capable of working the coffeemaker.” He went into the kitchen and a moment later Tony heard him opening cupboards, then the fridge.

“You’ll find the coffee in the canister next to the pot,” Tony called out.

“No duh. I figured that out all on my lonesome, since it’s labeled ‘Coffee’.”

“Then what are you looking for?”

“Food. I’m fixing us dinner. I bet all you had today was Jell-O.”

“Nope. Juice, oatmeal, and toast.”
