Chapter 31

We ordered. We ate. The meal was great. I felt sick. I missed Craig, simply because I knew he’d be able to figure out what we should do next. Now, there was no we, just I. Well, I and a hottie roommate, but that was putting the cart before the horse. Heck, that was shoving the horse in the cart and racing downhill with it.

As to the brother, Brad, he was pleasant, funny, engaging, and cute, in a non-Trekkie sort of way. I would’ve liked him, had I not hated him already. In any case, by the end of the meal, at least I knew for certain where one of the culprits, namely Brad, lived: two miles away, with his three roommates. I was laying bets on who those other three were.

We made it back to the dorm in on one piece. That is to say, I didn’t rip Brad to shreds, satisfying as the thought was. I unpacked. Todd watched me.

“Everything alright?” he asked. “You were sort of quiet at dinner.”

“Long day,” I explained. I turned to look at him. “Brad know you’re gay, by the way?”
