I shrugged and said up to the ceiling, “Laser show to Britney.”


A Britney medley instantly blared throughout The Den, lasers in various colors crisscrossing above our heads. It was like being at her concert. Given that Britney didn’t sing live, it was exactly like being at her concert.


“Pretty,” said Simon. “Who’s the vocalist?”


I shook my head. Doug frowned. Todd sighed. We made small talk and waited for my ex to arrive


A few hours later, Craig finally walked in and announced, “Okay, time to kill Lucas.”


Introductions were quickly made before I shook my head and frowned. It seemed well-deserved. “As to the whole killing me thing, um, huh?” Oh yeah, and I trembled just a bit, because you never knew when it came to Craig, who was, up until recently, not exactly friends with yours truly.
