After being kicked out of the Chicago condo where he and his boyfriend have lived together for over three years, Scott Parsons is forced to move back to the suburbs with his widowed mother because he's too broke to pay for a place of his own. “Do you need anything else?” he asked, looking around.


“No,” I said before pulling him to me. I kissed his cheek. “Thank you again.”


“You’re welcome,” he said before leaving the room.


After a hot shower, I dressed in the pajama pants, T-shirt, and briefs, then climbed into bed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep. I stayed awake for another hour as my mind raced about the accident, Alex, Dennis, my mother, and everything else going wrong around me. I’d made mistakes in my life, but I’d never fucked things up to such a royal degree. I silently cursed myself for letting my dick make decisions in my life. If only I’d rejected Alex’s advances yesterday and sent him on his way, things wouldn’t be such a mess. I had no idea what I was going to do about anything. I was clueless about how to even try to repair the damage I’d done. My mother was surely going to put me out, so I figured I’d better use the cash I had saved to get a place of my own ASAP.
