Chapter 9

“On your bike?” Ryan asks, trying to sound casual.

“No, don’t worry. Look for a black, four-door Ford. And turn off your cell phone once you hang up.”

“I’ll get dressed and see you soon.” Ryan feels the beginning of nerves. He’s really going to do it, break into a huge business with tight security to prove the men he knows were not the ones to do any harm.

“You’re undressed?” Ian asks, his silky voice wrapping around Ryan and drawing him in. He was a fool to think one night would get a man like Ian out of his system.

“I just got out of the shower.”

“I lost my train of thought,” Ian says with an embarrassed laugh.

“I’ll see you soon. Do I need anything else?” Ryan asks, pleased that he seems to have his own power over Ian.

“Just dress normally in clothes you don’t mind losing and bring some spare.”

“Okay. One hour.” Ryan tries to sound firm, but he’s never done anything like this before and probably never will again, assuming he even gets away with it this time.
