Dean Montgomery loves his ranch and his family, but something is missing. Rescued

Colt grabbed Dean, hugging him. Dean was shaking so bad at that point, Colt took a minute to whisper in his ear and kiss his lips softly.


“You’re okay.” Colt nuzzled his chin on Dean’s cheek.


Dean eventually got himself under control, smiling sheepishly. “Sorry, I know I overreacted.”


Colt interrupted in a huff. “Overreacted? Jesus, Dean, you had a fucking cougar ready to pounce right behind you. Anyone would have freaked out the same way.” Colt hugged Dean one last time. “Let’s move out of here.”


Colt grabbed their water bottles, placed them in his backpack, and started the quad. He slowly moved past the last sight, and Dean and Rusty followed. Colt was off the main trail, and the GPS pinged them in the opposite direction. Dean was about to ask when Colt stopped the quad and shut it down.
