Chapter 50

“Yeah,” Morgan said, and that thought seemed to quell the panic he’d been feeling.

“Look, I need to get to class,” Megan said. “We’ll talk again soon, okay?”

“Okay. I want to call Mom and Dad, too. Love you. Bye”

Megan returned his love and hung up.

Morgan sat for a minute and let the thought of Robert’s understanding his situation continue to calm him. He didn’t want to let his anxiety show when he talked to his mom and dad. They’d get worried and ask what was wrong. He’d told his parents very little about the prophecy, the Wolf Spirit, and Morgan’s role in it all. One day he’d tell them the whole story, but today was not that day. When he felt sufficiently under control, he called them.

“Hello?” It was his mother.

“Hi, Mom,” Morgan said in as bright a voice as he could muster. “Just wanted to call and let you know how things are going.” 12: Revelation
