“You have a phone?” Quinn asked. “How do you manage that with no electricity to charge it?”
“Oh, I’ve got electricity. I just don’t use it except for the fridge, and like you said, to charge my phone.”
“You’re one strange dude. You know that, don’t you?”
River bristled, then shrugged. “Guess I am. I wouldn’t use the electricity at all if I didn’t want to avoid food poisoning, and keep in touch with a couple of people.” He eyed Quinn thoughtfully. “You going to be up here for the rest of the weekend?”
Quinn tilted his head in question. “Maybe. I did come up to hunt.”
“Poach,” River replied.
“Whatever. Why’d you want to know if I was sticking around?”
“The phone call was from one of my buddies. They’re coming up tonight. Thought you might want to meet them, considering we all have something in common.”
