“If you decide to hire me,” Kevan said, “the first thing I’ll do is talk to everyone who worked at the club last Friday, and ask to look at the security tapes.”
“They have cameras?” Craig asked, his expression lighting up with hope.
“Yep.”
“How much do you charge?”
Kevan took three sheets of paper from his desk drawer, handing them to Craig. “The top one is my rates. The next one is a contract. We can set it up so it will be null and void if I haven’t found out anything within a week. Or you can pay a flat rate for week one, then, you pay me weekly, but only for the time I spend on the case, plus expenses, until we both agree to terminate it. The hourly rate is there.” He tapped the sheet with his pen. “You’ll need to fill out the last page with all the information on Scott. It’s pretty self-explanatory.”
