“You know what else you could do,” Major said. “How about we set up a box our audience can drop a non-perishable item into on their way in to each performance?”

“You!” Major got a kiss on the mouth, then AJ did, from Cadence. “Are a genius, too, with four hundred seats, even if only a small number do it, what a huge difference we’ll make.” AJ took a breath. “This feels good.” His expression landed somewhere between a smile and sadness, the smile from his lips, the sadness in his eyes. “It’s tragic how many kids go to school or to bed hungry in a country where…” He put up a hand and sighed. “We do what we can. Now, then…who’s up for a little puppy dog Cha-cha?”
