Chapter 21

Deciding they was extraneous, and in the way, the three men left the kitchen.

“Now what do we do to keep busy?” Pete asked. “We can’t watch the Rose Bowl parade since the TV’s in the living room.

“Sure we can. We move the set into the dining room,” Bill replied. “It’s not like it’s doing anything in there except holding one of the cornucopias. We’ll put it…” He looked around when they got to the living room. “On the bay window bench.” Which he did, only dropping one of the miniature pumpkins in the process.

It took them a bit of maneuvering to get the TV to the dining room, but they managed it without messing with the dinner tables.

“Now, it’s Thanksgiving,” Pete proclaimed, settling in one of the chairs that he’d pulled up in front of the TV. Bill and Roger did the same, as did some of the guests when they returned from their walks. The parade transitioned into the National Dog Show, followed by the first of the Bowl games.
