Chapter 68

“Shit,” Josh said. “I forgot to get his coffee.” Josh stood and offered his chair to Adam. “I’ll get your coffee.”

“I can get it,” Adam said.

“No, that’s okay.” Josh pointed at Sully. “Want anything else?”

Sully shook his head. “Excuse me.” He stood and headed for the restroom.

“Something I did or said?” Adam asked.

“No,” Eli laughed. “I don’t think so. You look good in that shirt.”

“Thanks. I only had this shirt and maybe another that was clean and that I could wear out in public.” Adam smiled. “I really need to do laundry.”

“We don’t have to the do the museums today. We could hang out. Do laundry. Our hotel has a washer and dryer.”

“Really? You’d give up being a tourist to stay in and do laundry?”

Adam smiled, and cocked his head. “You’re pulling my leg, right?”

“Nope. I need to do laundry. So do the kids.”

“Kids? Josh and Sully are just a few years younger than you,” Adam said.

“We could just lay low today. I’m good with that. I’m sure Sully and Josh are, too.”
