Chapter 9

“Of course. So, you want to keep seeing Keru, I take it?”

“I do indeed.” He wanted it very much. “I had more fun with him tonight that I have in quite a while.”

“Wonderful. I want to meet him, but I imagine I should wait a bit longer to be polite.”

“Please do. I’ll introduce you when the time is right.” His brother could come on strong, well-meaning though he was, and Adley wasn’t sure he wanted to risk that in the immediate future.

Fedment heaved a theatrical sigh. It was a family habit, once which Adley hadn’t picked up because he found it irksome. “Fine. I’ll wait impatiently. Just remember you’ve already met Elani and deemed her worthy.”

“You’ll have to console yourself with Sarelle’s approval.”

“It’s something, at least for now. All the same, don’t wait too long to introduce him to us. Do you think he’ll live with us, or you’ll move to his family’s home? I hope he would come here.”

“We’ve had one date. You’re rushing far ahead of reality.”
