Chapter 42

Lindsey was right. The clothes were huge on me, but they were better than nothing. One day, I’d be comfortable enough to sleep in the nude with Lindsey, assuming we got to that level in our relationship. It might be sooner than I thought, however, because my libido was starting to wake from dormancy.

I sat on the bed as Lindsey took his turn getting ready, and when he came back, dressed similarly to me, we climbed under the covers and he turned off the light. I lay there, willing myself not to panic. I trusted Lindsey. It wasn’t that big a deal.

I swore Lindsey heard my thoughts because he said, “Stop worrying yourself to death, Hanson. You’re safe with me, always.” And those words calmed me enough to fall asleep, dreamless.
