“I hope you like them,” I murmured as I followed them into the kitchen. There was a blender on the counter, three containers of ice cream I recognized from our shopping trip, frozen fruit, milk, Oreo cookies broken into small pieces, whipped cream, bananas, and a jar of cherries.

“What flavor ice cream do you want?” Lisa asked as she stacked the brownies on a plate.

“It doesn’t matter. I’m easy to please.”

Lindsey grinned at me. “That should come in handy later.”

Lisa smacked his arm. “Behave.” Her brother’s look of innocence didn’t work. “Don’t even try it. I know you.”

I smiled as Lindsey scooped vanilla ice cream into the blender, adding frozen strawberries, a banana, and milk. Once it was mixed smooth, he poured it into a big mug, added Oreo chunks and put a cherry on top before handing it to me.
