Jordan checked his phone. “Great, Corey and Peter are coming to Open Mic.” Trevor could tell Jordan wasn’t that upset about it. It was more of a shyness, maybe.


“One thing about my family if they do come, they get very braggy about me. Just warning you ahead of time.”


“As well as they should, you are an amazing musician.” Trevor grabbed Jordan by the hands and helped him off the ground. “Maybe we should head back and…” Trevor paused.


“Thanks for taking me with you today, it meant a lot.” Jordan hugged Trevor to his side as they walked back to the café. By the time they turned the final corner Jordan’s nerves were getting the best of him, he hadn’t played in front of people in a while. He knew he still had his talent and the new song he wrote was amazing, but—He always got nervous before a show, but this was new. It was a solo open mic andit scared him.
