Trevor couldn’t breathe. His heart beat fast as he cried. He wanted to run over to Corey’s in hopes he could get one more hug or one more kiss from Jordan, but he knew it was better this way.


He cried himself back to sleep on the couch. The ringing phone woke him several hours later. He grabbed for it, hoping it was Jordan, but he saw the flashes of Sam’s name on the screen and realized “It’s Raining Men” was blaring through the speaker. He didn’t want to talk, but he needed to be there for him.


“Hey Sam.” Trevor tried clearing his throat


“That’s it, I’m getting myself out of here and coming over.”


“No! You need to rest Sam, I’m fine…Really, I am, just woke up, is all. I’ll come by the hospital later and see you, okay?”
