Chapter 35

He placed a quick kiss on Jason’s wrinkled nose. “Up and at ‘em, sleepy. We’ve got a problem.”

Jason’s eyes popped open like they were attached to a kitchen timer, those green, green eyes contracting as they adjusted to the light. He squinted up at John and grimaced. “Problem?”

Before they did anything, John had to find Jason some caffeine, if that tired slur in his words didn’t go away in the next minute or so. “Yeah. The RMS is twitching. Scared the hell out of me when Saito showed it to me.”

“What?” Jason hissed in a deep lungful of air and tore his way out of their bedding. John moved back and pulled out clean underclothes, as well as another jumpsuit. There wasn’t even a word of thanks when his lover ripped the items out of his hands. He felt a warm blossom of fondness for Jason, deep in his heart. Jason was single-minded in his work and it was a piece of Jason that he loved a whole lot.
