After Nina reported what they’d found out, Tonio asked Mattie to bring up the realtor’s site and the information there on Geoffrey’s home. “Damn,” he muttered, “I was hoping there might be floor plans. Some realty sites have them.”

“Even if they did, it wouldn’t tell us anything. I hardly think they’d show secret, underground installations,” Bay pointed out. “What we need to do is get onto the property to check the garage, andthen into the house—and that will not be easy. You know, if he’s there, he’ll have it warded six ways to Sunday. At least the part where he’s hiding.”

“He’d have to drop the wards if someone was interested in buying the place,” Mattie pointed out.

“Yes, he would. So…” Felan look from face to face “Which one of us could pass a financial check to make it seem feasible they’d be able to afford the price tag?”

“I can,” Bay replied. “I bet Reni could as well.”

Reni smiled. “I do have a bit put away for a rainy day.”
