Chapter 35

Out in the open ocean, the Sea People had new predators to deal with. Sharks, seals, and orcas preyed on them. The Alewars and males worked together to protect the pods from the new and different predators.

The Sea People flourished, and soon, Winter Beach, could not sustain the entire population. One springtime, a pod followed the right whales that visited the beach during the winter, as they traveled North for the summer.

They found a beach they called Home Cove and lived there happily for six moon cycles or so. When the air and water turned cold again, they followed the whales South, and eventually returned to Winter Beach.

They were received with open arms by their cousins who had stayed at Winter Beach. The Northern pod explained how the weather was warm and how abundant the food. The pod also declared it would go North again in six moon cycles or so when the warm weather returned to the North.
