In addition to food supply, they also had to learn the different predators that lurked near their shoreline homes. Years of lore and learning had taught them how to deal with predators and weather on the land, and they applied to that the dangers that prowled the shoreline for prey.
The Princess’s story spread among the humans. Others from different tribes brought their children with fused legs to the Princess’s mother and she raised them as her own, alongside the Princess. The Princess was happy to have playmates and be around others who were like her. But her favorite was Samsel.
Though still fairly young, young Samsel made an impression on the Princess. He helped her in and out thewater. He protected her from the other children with two legs. In return, the Princess cheered him as hetrained to hunt.
