“Sure, why not. It beats vacuuming.”

They went out to the patio, where Brian settled on the steps with his drawing pad while Conley went to get the lawnmower. It was only a bit after nine, and already getting hot, so Brian wasn’t surprised when Conley stripped off his shirt a few minutes later. Disconcerted, but not surprisedI saw him in a lot less yesterday, so it shouldn’t bother me. He knew why it did. In the last twenty-four hours their relationship had changed from friendship to something more. Nothing close to love—that might never happen—but he definitely felt a deep attraction to the handsome redhead in front of him.
