Chapter 66

“Were you one of those kids who snuck downstairs before everyone got up to shake presents Christmas morning?” I asked when I answered his call.

“You know it.”

“I think you need a lesson in discipline, don’t you?”

“It wouldn’t work. I have no self-control when it comes to you.”

“I don’t know. I think you could learn.”

“Well, I suppose it wouldn’t do any harm to try to tame me. It would be to our mutual benefit, after all.”

I shook my head, though he couldn’t see it. “Sure it would.”

“You ready for tomorrow?”

“Is that why you really called me?”

“Ostensibly.”

“Ah. Well, yes, I’m ready. It’s at eight, sharp, but I’ll be there at seven to setup and make sure things are just the way I like them.”

“It’s so hot to hear you talk like that.”

Is that so?

“So, if I tell you that I’ll be wearing a black Armani suit with a white shirt, gold cuff links, and an understatedly expensive tie, does that turn you on?”

I heard an intake of breath. It would appear so.
